حداقل سن ازدواج
نکاح, به معنی سپردن مسئولیت یک دختر به فردی دیگر است که الزاماً با رابطه جنسی همراه نیست, لکن در این مقاله, ازدواج از نگاه حداقل سن لازم برای ازدواج با امکان رابطه جنسی مورد برسی قرار میگیرد.
آیات
گروه هائی همچون شیعیان, با استناد به آیه زیر, بیان میدارند که ازدواج هیچ محدودیَّت سنیای ندارد.
وَاللَّائِي يَئِسْنَ مِنَ الْمَحِيضِ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمْ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلَاثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَاللَّائِي لَمْ يَحِضْنَ ۚ وَأُولَاتُ الْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَنْ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْرًا (4) الطلاق
و آن زنانی از زنانتان که مایوس هستند از حیض, اگر شک کردید, عده آنها ۳ ماه است, و آن زنانی که حیض نشده اند, و عِدّه زنان آبستن همان وضع حمل است, و هر كه از خدا بترسد، خدا كارش را آسان خواهد كرد.

اگر معیار سن ازدواج رشد فیزیولوژیک باشد, حداکثر رشد قدی در دختران تا به سن ۱۴ الی ۱۵ سالگی ادامه دارد, و متوقف میشود.
